Frequently asked questions • PE & UNSS
Everything you need to know before integrating laser shooting into your PE lessons
Class organization, safety, setup, school biathlon, UNSS, purchase or rental: here are answers to the main questions from teachers and schools.
How many students can practice with a laser shooting kit?
The number of students depends on the number of shooting stations and the organization you choose. Laser shooting is particularly well suited to rotations: while one group shoots, the other students can be engaged in a run, relay, circuit or complementary workshop. For a full class, multi-station solutions make it easier to get everyone active and reduce waiting time.
How do you organize a school biathlon in PE class?
The principle is simple: alternate a movement/effort phase with a laser shooting phase. Running, relays, circuit training, swimming or an obstacle course can be combined with shooting. Distances, number of shots, penalties and rotations can be adapted to students’ level and the lesson objective.
Is laser shooting suitable and safe for a school?
The Focus & Move solution uses a projectile-free laser device: there are no pellets, BBs or ammunition. It’s designed for supervised practice in a sports and educational context. As with any PE activity, the teacher defines the space, instructions and lesson organization.
How long does it take to set up the equipment?
A standard setup takes about 5 to 10 minutes. The shooting stations can then be moved or reorganized depending on the workshops, distances and the chosen teaching scenario.
Can laser shooting be used indoors and outdoors?
Yes. The equipment can be integrated into gym sessions as well as outdoor activities. This makes it possible to build school biathlon, raid, relay or challenge formats depending on the facilities available at the school.
Which PE activities can be combined with laser shooting?
Laser shooting can complement many scenarios: athletics, running, relays, circuit training, obstacle courses, swimming, outdoor activities or combined sports. The teaching value lies in alternating effort and control to work on focus, accuracy, coordination, effort management and cooperation.
Can the solution be used in UNSS, in a raid, or during a school event?
Yes. Multi-station formats are particularly well suited to UNSS meets, raids, sports days, tournaments and team challenges. Rules can be simplified or made more complex depending on age, level and number of participants.
Do we need to purchase the equipment, or can we start with a rental?
Both options are possible. Rental lets you test the activity over a period, a PE unit or an event before deciding on long-term equipment. Purchase is better suited to schools that want to integrate laser shooting regularly into their PE or UNSS planning.
Does Focus & Move support teachers during setup?
Yes. Getting-started content, demos and teaching-scenario ideas help you get up and running quickly. The goal is for the teacher to understand the equipment, organize rotations and build the first lessons without making preparation more complex.
How do you order as a public institution and use Chorus Pro?
Focus & Move can provide a quote for your institution and process administrative orders via a purchase order. For public-sector organizations, invoices can be submitted via Chorus Pro based on the billing details provided by the institution.
